(1) Natural cooling. Natural cooling is a cooling method that uses the high thermal conductivity of a material (mainly a profile) to remove heat and dissipate heat into the air. That is, in the absence of specific wind speed requirements, the mainstream natural convection fins are copper-aluminum sheets, aluminum extrusions, machined or alloy castings to achieve heat dissipation.

(2) Forced air cooling. Forced convection is used for heat dissipation. When there is a special wind speed requirement, the wind speed can be convected by a dedicated or system level fan. The fan heatsink, high-density chip assembly, and heat exchanger can be configured to create a hedging or cross-flow environment that accelerates heat removal and improves heat dissipation. Air-cooling can also be used in conjunction with fluid phase-change heat dissipation technology. Fluid phase transitions generally use closed copper heat pipes to dissipate heat by rapid cycle evaporation and condensation of liquids with low boiling points. If the product has high density and space constraints, the integration of heat pipes in the heat sink can further improve heat dissipation.

(3) Liquid cooling technology. Liquid cooling application refers to the use of a liquid-cooled cooling plate (also called a water-cooled heat sink) installed at a heat source, combined with a heat exchanger and a heat exchange pump to dissipate heat in a fluid circulation manner. In general, liquid-cooling technology is used in environments where forced convection or phase-change systems do not achieve high heat-density heat dissipation.
